Polo on the Beach Party!

The three day event at Watergate Bay is free to attend. However tickets are required for the beach party on Saturday 20 May from 7.30pm.




From Friday 19 May you will be able to exchange your electronic ticket for a wrist band from the Extreme Academy. You will only be permitted entry to the Polo on the Beach Party with the correct wrist band.



On Saturday evening Aspall cyder are giving party goers the chance to try an exclusive glass of 1728 – their limited edition sparkling cyder – 1728. The first 50 people to arrive to the party wearing white jeans at the Aspall tasting table will receive a complimentary glass. 1728 is not available to buy until June, and only 1,728 bottles will be produced a year.


The beach bar, gin bar and Champagne garden will be serving beer, wine, cider, Champagne and soft drinks.

Food stalls will serving a range of street food and will be open from midday until 11pm on Saturday 20 May.

The Beach Hut will be open as usual.




There will be limited parking in the Bay so we encourage you to park in the event car park which will be in a marked field just up the road from the hotel at a cost of £3.50. This is easily accessible from the road and is in the direction of Newquay. From there it is a 10 minute walk down a cliff path to access the beach.

Watergate Bay is a dog friendly beach all year round and we ask that dogs are kept on a lead close to the polo area. However, dogs are not permitted into the music arena during the beach party, except for assistance dogs.




There are some public toilets just across the road from the hotel and we will be providing temporary toilets in the Extreme Academy car park. There is a disabled toilet in the Beach Hut opposite the beach.




Some of our stalls will be accepting credit/ debit cards on site but we recommend bringing cash with you. We will be offering cash back in the Extreme Academy on Friday 19 May (midday – 6.30pm), Saturday 20 May (midday – 6.30pm) and Sunday 21 May (11am – 4pm). There are no cash machines in Watergate Bay. The nearest cash machine is in Newquay.




Polo on the Beach is a family orientated event so please dress accordingly. It’s also a polo party so lots of the polo players will be in their white jeans and boots.




Watergate Bay Hotel has a couple of rooms left and we have a number of accommodation providers nearby including campsites, self-catering and  hotels. Take a look.


Under 18s must be accompanied at all times in the music arena by an adult
No alcoholic drinks or glass may be brought in to the music arena.
No laser pens, items interpreted as weapons or illegal substances will be permitted.
Bags may be searched on entry for security reasons.
No chairs or umbrellas are permitted in the music arena.
No DSLR/SLR cameras are permitted in the music arena.
No refunds will be given to tickets purchased.
We have the right to refuse admission to anyone exhibiting bad behaviour or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Audiences will be subjected to continuous high sound levels and strobe lighting may be used.
